Built for the Wrong Audience

Berean Academy’s old site was built for the families already there. It led with college-prep credentials and accreditation and offered quick links to the lunch menu and school calendar. For current families, it worked fine.

For a prospective parent trying to understand what kind of school this was, it had almost nothing to say. What did Berean believe? What did it produce? Who might their child become there?

The site communicated what Berean offered. It never got around to why it mattered.

Rebuilt Around a Single Word

We started where we always do: understanding why Berean Academy exists, who they actually serve, and what those families most need to hear. What emerged was a content strategy built around a single organizing idea: the transformation students experience at Berean, both while they’re there and long after they graduate.

The creative thread was a single word: Be. The first two letters of Berean, yes — but more importantly, a framework for speaking directly to the student Berean is committed to developing.

Be ready. Be discipled. Be rooted. Be equipped. Be grounded in truth. Be confident. Be part of the team. Be connected.

Every phrase pointed toward outcomes — not programs or features. The person a student becomes.

We wrote content for key pages and paired it with a bold custom design built to showcase what Berean already had: beautiful photography of real school life. The design got out of the way and let the community speak for itself.

More of the Right Families Started Calling

The results showed up fast. Berean’s Associate Head of School reported that inquiries took off after the launch, “We have had tons of people reaching out to us for more information. Our admissions lady has been very busy.”

A busy admissions office is a good problem to have. A busy admissions office full of mission-fit inquiries is even better.
