A School This Good Deserved Better

Oklahoma Christian School is one of the most established and respected schools in the Oklahoma City area, with over 1,200 students, more than five decades of history, and a reputation that precedes it.

Their website didn’t reflect any of that.

Like many school sites we encounter, it was mission-focused rather than family-focused. It described what the school did. It didn’t speak to the families they served or why OCS was the right choice for their child. For a school of this stature, the gap between reality and first impression was significant.

Building a Site Worth the Reputation

We came in with a clear conviction: a school this established, in a market this competitive, needed a site that could back up its position.

The content was built around how OCS equips students. We wrote to each stage of the journey with intention:

  • Elementary students equipped for joyful impact
  • Middle schoolers equipped for independence
  • High schoolers equipped for the future
  • All students equipped for a life that reflects Christ

Three big ideas anchored the homepage and ran through everything: Christ at the Center. Educating for Impact. Real Parent Partnership. The school had always lived these. Now they led with them.

On the design side, we built something that matched the school’s stature. Clean layout. Bold use of their red and blue palette, softened with an off-white that kept it from feeling heavy. A bold mega menu. Subtle animations that added motion and life without distracting from the message. The photography did the rest.

Ready to Lose Their Minds

The response was immediate and overwhelmingly positive, both inside the school and out. Devin’s admissions team felt it first: “I still think my admissions team might be ready to lose their minds over all the inquiries!”
