Advancing Kingdom Work: Meet Banner 61

After more than a year of prayerful consideration and planning, Hourglass K12 is becoming Banner 61.

What This Means for Your School

Nothing changes in your day-to-day experience with us. You’re working with the same team with the same desire to see your school flourish. We’re just operating under a new… well… banner.

But here’s what this transition will mean for our school clients:

  • Deeper expertise: We believe that serving a wider base of faith-based organizations will allow us to grow our team and add specialized talent who understand mission-driven organizations and the marketing strategies that help those organization reach their goals.
  • Cross-sector innovation: There are a lot of ways in which Christian schools are a unique animal. But there’s also so much to learn from outside the K-12 bubble. Working with churches and nonprofits will allow for cross-pollination of great ideas. When we help a church engage families, those insights may strengthen our guidance on how you can engage families. When we optimize a nonprofit’s donor communication, that knowledge could ehance your advancement efforts.
  • Stronger referral network: Churches recommend schools to their families. Schools partner with local nonprofits. By serving this interconnected ecosystem, we can facilitate valuable connections and referrals for your school. This referral works for us, too, of course. We’ve been fielding a lot of questions from church-affiliated schools this year. The answer is now officially, “Yes, we can help your church with its website.”

Why Banner 61?

The name describes both the work we do and the people we do it with. It’s shorthand for our mission statement.

Banners throughout history have marked celebrations and movements, rallied communities around causes worth fighting for. They identify and invite—telling the world who you are and welcoming others to stand with you.

The 61 points to Isaiah 61, a passage that reads like a mission statement for Gospel-centered organizations. It’s about being anointed to bring good news, proclaim truth, bind up the brokenhearted, and restore what has been damaged.

Whether it’s a Christian school developing young minds, a church sharing Gospel truth, a pregnancy center supporting vulnerable mothers, Christian camps serving at-risk kids, or addiction recovery ministries bringing hope and freedom—these organizations are living out Isaiah 61 in their communities.

We’re honored to serve organizations that do all that work, and we’re eager to do more.

Our Commitment to Christian Schools

Christian schools will always be central to our mission. You’re not sharing our attention—you’re gaining the benefit of insights and innovations from across the faith-based spectrum.

Looking Ahead

Whether you’re looking to increase enrollment, improve parent satisfaction, or strengthen your digital presence, our expanded focus means we bring even more expertise to serve your school’s mission.

Keep up the Kingdom work,

– Jay Tickle
